Great place to eat before a broadway show. Our third year anniversary! Will our server was great! The food is awesome just way to much! I would love if they make a dinner package for just two people! So less wasted food for those of us who are from out of town. We dined at Carmines prior to attending a Broadway show. Food is always delicious. We came here after a Broadway show and it was the perfect ending to a celebratory night. Service was fabulous and the ambience was perfect. This was my 3rd time at Carmines and I will be back again!
Loud but cozy restaurant with giant dishes and great drinks! We were tired and were starving. We were also celebrating my husbands th marathon and his birthday.
We were prepared to order for the guests that did not show up. Our food was fantastic but the service was slow. We were exhausted and just wanted to go home.
I just figured they forgot my husbands celebration request. We got our check and 3 other tables had the staff sing them happy birthday. Each time they went to a different table my heart sunk. I felt my husbands disappointment. When they brought our check they sang happy birthday to my husband with no dessert and candle.
It was a big disappointment. I recommend this restaurant for a typical meal, but never again for a post marathon celebration. Micah was a excellent server! Non alcoholic bar drinks were great! I would dine here again with more than two. I tried to give it away to homeless people nearby however they were already full of pasta dinners!
Others had the same idea! We had a belated birthday celebration which they handled perfectly as well. This place is iconic. Close by, great ambiance and our reservation was spot on. Food was delicious and service was stellar. Definitely will be my go to place after broadway shows. Undercooked chicken. The wait servers were polite but very busy so there were issues with my order. We went to Carmine after a Broadway Show and were very pleased with the service, the quality of food and the ambiance.
In these difficult times, Carmine's is still getting in done right! Thank You All. This was not what we expected. The wait staff explained it was "family style" for people. We had ordered appetizers and a pasta dish. The appetizer was too much for 2 so we cancelled the pasta. I wish we had more guidance in ordering an appropriate amount for 2 people.
This is a great place if there are multiple people in a party- not for 2. An awesome experience at one of NYC most iconic restaurants.
The service was amazing and the atmosphere was joyful. Looking forward to my next meal there. The garlic bread was the best I have ever had!!!!! Awesome service, drinks and food!! Would definitely return time and time again! Food was great, as always. Service was good too. Only complaint was that we were freezing where we were sitting.
We might as well have been sitting outside. Everything was great customers were friendly the staff was excellent food was really good will be back. We didn't know we needed a vaccination card out of towners.. They were able to still seat us outside for our reservation.
The server was super nice and the outdoor setup was comfortable and shielded us somewhat from the cold. Food was delicious. Hugeeee portions though!
