On top of that Cheapoair, representative from whom I bought the tickets, sold me tickets without my understanding that we only had 41 minutes to get off the original flight from Christiansted find the next flight and board it. We never would have made it. Final point, the Cheapoair guy who sold me the tickets charged me about dollars more than what he said the cost was. He quoted and said "all in" per ticket I bought 4 tickets.

I didn't have to, but I preordered my meals and that info was registered, and that way I got what I wanted. I also made use of the Admirals Clubs during layovers. Pros: "Bed was "sleep-able"".

Never again, Coming back the food was better but was told they were out of fish, my husband on the other side of me was told they were out of chicken. Service sucks, except 1 nice fellow, who apologized. They own a lot of us more than an apology. I wish I had used miles to book first class, as this plane had a dope 1st cabin. Instead we had 2h worth of promises that the plane was leaving in 10 mins. No effort was made at being nice--no free snacks or whatever would be nice to make people feel cared for.
But what's worse was the flight attendants. I don't even feel like getting into it--just suffice to say these are people who should not be working in the service industry.
I saw them being rude to a number of people and it made an already bad experience with the 2h delay that much worse.
It's not that hard to be polite to people. AA should do more to hire caring, kind staff who create happy vibes even through stressful times.

No warning was given about this. I had paid airport prices for water to bring onto the plane and then had to surrender it at the gate. Of course in economy class they will not give you water or attention until you are at cruising altitude.
More than one flight attendant did not smile and one was actually rude in spite of my attempts to be kind and smile. Except for one friendly person at check-in kiosk, bad service overall. They do not have personal entertainment systems, and it was like going back in time with the tiny screens you cannot see, playing a movie you either watch it or not. Pros: "The pilot and co-pilot took the time to answer my question about turbulence.
They were very friendly. I appreciated that. Cons: "There is insufficient legroom in coach, especially when the passenger in front of me reclines. Cons: "We left two hours after scheduled departure bc 1 the plane was late from prior flight and had to be cleaned, 2 engine check delayed the flight, 3 strong winds forced the airport JFK to use only one runway for departures and so on top of our plane delays we were delayed an extra half hour bc of airplane traffic.
No entertainment onboard, meaning no screen on back of seat in front for movies, tv shows, etc. Pros: "We didn't crash". Cons: "The crew met their requirements. I did not see anybody eating some food in this flight, other than the mini pretzels served. How a 3hour flight arriving at 09 PM, had no food onboard? Pros: "We barely made our connecting flight. Cons: "Flight delayed nearly an hour due to crew not showing up on time. Crew blocked aisle as passengers were boarding. Crew did not assist people who needed to make connecting flights by keeping other passengers from blocking the aisle after landing.. Airline did not seem to care about all the chaos caused by being so late.
Cons: "The check in process at JFK was a disaster. The kiosk check in machines were constantly malfunctioning, where to line up was unclear, and staff acted frustrated. After several failed attempts with the kiosks you have to wait in line to check in at the counter anyways. It would have saved almost an hour of my time to just go straight to the counter-- had I been allowed to.
I wanted to check a bag which contained some fragile items. Several bottles of wine which I wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned with my packed clothes. I requested a "Fragile" sticker to be put on my bag. I was told "We don't do that here". When I got my bag at my destination-- the outside of my leather suitcase was sliced to the lining. There were scuff marks and torn leather.
My wine had been completely shattered. Not just a crack in the bottle, but flattened completely. My clothes were stained, my bag ruined. I don't know if putting a fragile sticker on would have prevented this, but I don't understand why they just "don't do that". We are trusting our property to the airline when we check bags. I will never trust American Airlines ever again.

Apparently American Airlines requests 90 minutes before departure to check you in, however their website does say they will try to accomadate customers that have arrived late. This employee refused 24 people access to the flight that we had booked and paid for.
She related that she could put everyone on standby for the next and final flight out of Saint Thomas and standby for multiple connecting flights from Miami to many different parts of the country. This is because American Airlines over books their flights on purpose and has no problem leaving people stranded at an airport.
Another employee related that it was easily accomplished to confirm is for the flight as we would have plenty of time prior to boarding since the aircraft had yet to arrive from its original location. American Airlines would not speak to any of the paid customers and would not look into other flights to see if there were other options to get customers home. When we boarded the plane there were still 4 customers that American Airlines stranded at the airport with no more flights out of the airport that day.
This was an absolute disgrace and it was disgusting to see how the American Airlines staff were treating people. Their companies customer service has nothing to say other then sorry.

Once on the ground, I went straight to United's baggage office to see if my bag had followed me, and encountered two of the rudest people, cutting me off whenever I said anything more than they needed to enter into their computer. If your job is in customer service, be friendly, apologize when things go wrong, understand that your customers are your reason for being in business, and be helpful.

The plane had extra seats and we got there early to get assigned seats together but even the manager would not help me even after showing their website. He said the computer will make them charge me and there was no way around it.

It was by far the worst travel experience of my life. One of the passengers was so drunk that she threw up all over the gate agent's podium, and this passenger was still allowed on the plane. When we boarded, we had to circumvent the vomit because it hadn't been cleaned up yet. There were multiple passengers on board who brought their own alcohol, were noticeably drunk and extremely loud. I understand that this is not your crew's fault, but there was a complete lack of understanding as to how to handle the situation.
The pilot scorned passengers as a whole, and noted that if people didn't calm down, he would force a landing in North Carolina. The responsible passengers such as myself not only had to tolerate the debauchery, but also felt like we would be potentially be punished for other people's bad behavior. The flight crew seemed to have no idea how to handle this situation. I don't understand why is passenger are blatantly breaking federal regulations, the crew would not do anything about it.
When I attempted to check in online, literally ever seat including middle seats, back row had an up-charge which is simply ridiculous. I will never fly Frontier again. Arrived am for a am flight and was denied check in because supposedly counter closes at am. So I was denied entry for 5 minutes? I had to pay a taxi, extra night at hotel then a fee for rescheduling flight. Even if tickets were free! I would suggest kayak remove them, experience was so bad that negatively effects kayaks reputation too. Also, every other airline provides complementary beverages and snacks, NOT Frontier.

Also, it was an overnight flight and we were hoping to sleep but the flight attendants stood behind us in the galley having loud personal conversation almost the entire 4 hours. I'd rather pay a bit more in fare and get what you get on other non-budget airlines. This is scraping the bottom of the barrel. So in addition to whatever I would have paid to check a bad now carry on items are 40 bucks? Get real. Next there's the issue of the flight itself which was horrible. The seats were no better than plastic folding seats you would buy at target and about as comfortable. Frontier's idea of first class is what every other airline would call coach. There is so little leg room or room in front of you that I couldn't lay my head down on the tiny little excuse for a folding tray.
